PANTHER CANYON RANCH

Panther Canyon Ranch is located in southwest Terrell County, near the Brewster County line on Bullis Gap Hill Road. The ranch is approximately ten (10) miles from Highway 90. Bullis Gap Road is a county maintained road.

Panther Canyon Ranch offers a recreational experience for all types of outdoorsmen. The ranch has not been hunted for the past two (2) years and has a large population of mule deer, blue quail, javelina, morning and white-wing dove.

Hikers will find Washboard Canyon an ideal place to roam, with numerous Indian rock shelters and campsites to explore. Views on the ranch are spectacular, you can see the mountains of old Mexico and Big Bend National Park from every tract on the ranch.

Email from Ron Stuckey, owner of  Tracts 38 & 39 Panther Canyon North:

Ron,

Is that pilot gonna buy tract 39 in PC? I don’t see that it’s been listed as sold on the website. It’s a gorgeous piece of land. If he saw pics on the website and was interested enough to drive all the way fm Houston, how could he say “no?” The area is so much more beautiful when you see it in person … breathtaking views and abundant wildlife.

In just 2.5 days on our property alone we saw 11 deer (4 bucks, 6 doe, 1 fawn), a javelina herd (1 boar, 3 babies, 7 adults), dozens of quail and dove, a tarantula, oodles of lizards, road runners, buzzards, mtn lion tracks, 3 sheds (6-pt and two 8-pt), giant millipedes (6” long), fluorescent grasshoppers, frogs and tadpoles, … We also saw 15 turkeys just outside of Sanderson alg Hwy 90. Driving alg Five Mile Hill Rd is like being on safari. I’ve already booked a rm, plane ticket and rental vehicle for my next visit in Jan 05!

Do you know of anyone who does photography in Sanderson? I thought Junior, a professional photographer, would bring a nice camera and take some panoramic shots of our property, but all he brought was a video camera. Hell, I brought one of those! So, I was wondering if someone in Sanderson does weddings, etc, and would be willing to take some professional photos of my property. I shot 4 hrs of video while I was there, but I would like to have a couple scenic views enlarged, framed and displayed in my house.

Thanks in advance for your help … again!

Mark Stuckey
